Strength Almanac for iOS  ·  operated by LemTech LLC, Maine, USA

One person reads every message. Here is how to reach him, and the answers to the things people ask before they email.

The short version
  • Email [email protected], or use Send feedback in the app — that route carries the context we need.
  • Refunds are Apple’s, not ours. We do not hold your money and cannot reverse a charge.
  • Cancel in iOS Settings, or in one tap from the app (Profile → Subscription). Cancelling never deletes your training history.
  • Export and import are in Bronze, the floor tier. Your data comes out as easily as it went in.

Getting help

Email [email protected]. One person reads it, so please include:

  • what you were doing when it went wrong,
  • what you expected instead,
  • your device and iOS version.

There is also a Send feedback item inside the app (Profile → Send feedback) which attaches that context automatically. If you can reach the app, that route is faster for us to act on.

[email protected] also still works and always will — builds shipped under the previous name have it compiled in. Both addresses reach the same mailbox.

What to expect back

Strength Almanac is one person. That is the honest shape of the support desk, and it is worth saying out loud rather than implying a queue and a team.

  • We read everything. Nothing gets closed unread.
  • We answer in the order it arrives, except for anything that stops you training or has taken your money incorrectly — those jump the queue.
  • We will tell you when we cannot help, including on refunds, rather than leaving you waiting for a reply that was never going to come.

The full FAQ is below and in the app (Profile → Help). If your question is answered there, that is faster than email.

Billing

Refunds

Apple processes every refund for purchases made in the app — we cannot issue one directly. That is not a policy we chose; in-app purchases are Apple’s transaction, and only Apple can reverse them.

  • Go to reportaproblem.apple.com
  • Sign in with the Apple Account used for the purchase
  • Find Strength Almanac and choose Report a Problem

Profile → Subscription → “Request a refund from the App Store” opens that page for you directly, so you can skip the first two steps.

If Apple declines and you believe it is a genuine fault on our side, email [email protected] and tell us what happened. We will tell you honestly whether we can do anything — often we cannot change the refund, but we can fix whatever caused it.

Cancelling a subscription

The app takes you straight there in one tap: Profile → Subscription → “Manage subscription in the App Store”. You do not have to go hunting through Settings.

If you would rather do it yourself, or you no longer have the app installed, the manual route is:

Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Strength Almanac → Cancel Subscription

Either way the cancellation happens at Apple, not with us — we never see your card, and we cannot cancel or refund on your behalf. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Cancelling does not delete your account or your training history.

A purchase is not showing up

If you subscribed and the app has not caught up, use Restore Purchases on the pricing screen. Entitlements are tied to your Strength Almanac account, not the device, so make sure you are signed in as the same account on both.

Your data

Exporting and importing

Export and import are both included in Bronze — the floor tier — because your training history is yours and that has to be true in both directions. An app you can only put data into is a trap with a nicer name.

  • Export. Profile → Export Data gives you a CSV of your workouts and a CSV of your measurements.
  • Import. Bring history in from a CSV, including from another app. Weights are validated on the way in and anything outside a sensible human range is rejected rather than silently stored.

You do not need to pay more than $1 a month to get your own data out.

Deleting your account

Profile → Delete Account. You are asked to confirm your password, then shown exactly what happens:

  • your subscription cancels immediately;
  • coach relationships end in both directions;
  • workouts, programs and history are deleted after 7 days;
  • anything you published to the community becomes “Anonymous Strength Almanac user”;
  • you can restore the account by signing in within those 7 days.

Deletion is permanent after day 7.

Common questions

The complete FAQ lives in the app (Profile → Help), and it is the source of truth. The answers most people need before installing:

Is it really $1/month?

Yes. Bronze is $1/mo (or $10/yr) and includes the whole tracker — logging, programs, PRs, RIR/RPE, supersets and the plate calculator are never gated. Higher tiers add analytics and cosmetics, never essentials.

Is there a no-cost tier?

There is no free tier, and we say so plainly rather than burying it. The floor is $1/month. We would rather charge a dollar than sell your attention.

Does it work offline?

Not yet. Strength Almanac needs a connection to save a set. On a weak signal it usually still gets through, because each set saves the moment the connection allows it — but with no signal at all, a set may fail to save and is not stored to send later. If you train somewhere with no reception, note your sets and enter them afterwards. Offline logging with automatic sync is built and in testing; it is not switched on in the shipping build.

What is Coach Mode?

It lets a coach see and program for lifters who have invited them. It is opt-in on both sides.

I never got my confirmation email.

Check spam first. If it is genuinely missing, email support and we will confirm the account manually.

Reporting a bug

Use Send feedback in the app where possible — it carries the context we need. Otherwise email [email protected].

If it is a security issue, please email rather than posting it publicly, and give us a reasonable window to fix it before disclosure.
